Openet Wins International Stevie Award in Sixth Annual International Business Awards

julio 15, 2009 - Openet

DUBLIN, Ireland – July 15, 2009 – Openet, a provider of Transactional Intelligence solutions for the world’s largest and most innovative service providers, was named a winner today in the Best New Product or Service of the Year—Media & Entertainment category in The 2009 International Business Awards.

The International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in business.

Nicknamed the Stevie® for the Greek word “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala dinner on Monday, September 14 in the St. Regis Hotel in New York City.

Openet won the International Stevie for its Audience and Engagement Measurement solution, which is designed to measure subscriber activity across cable television viewing platforms.  This solution enables operators to collect, correlate and enrich usage and profile information across all video services in real time.  By implementing the Audience and Engagement Measurement solution, cableoperators receive real-time information about subscribers’ viewing habits and preferences across all platforms to deliver more personalized services and highly addressable advertisements.

Recipients of International Stevie Award trophies were selected from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 30 countries.  Organizations all over the world are eligible to compete in The International Business Awards, and can enter in any of more than 40 categories from Multinational Company of the Year and Best New Product of the Year to Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year and Executive of the Year.

“Despite the harsh economic climate, entries to the IBAs actually grew a bit this year, and that illustrates the increasing importance of The International Business Awards worldwide,” said Michael Gallagher, president of The Stevie Awards, presenters of the IBAs.  “We congratulate all of the Finalists and International Stevie Awards winners, and we look forward to honoring them for their achievements at our gala awards dinner in New York on September 14.”

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected International Stevie winners from among the Finalists, which were determined by volunteer judges around the world during two months of preliminary judging.

“With consumers now able to view television programming across a multitude of devices, service providers need comprehensive insight into subscriber behaviors to maximize and provide value,” said Niall Norton, CEO of Openet.  “Openet’s history of innovation and responsiveness to market needs led to the creation of our Audience and Engagement solution, which enables service providers to extract actionable data from subscriber usage, benefitting all involved.”
