Dublin, Ireland, April 6, 2000 - Openet Telecom, which specialises in Internet Protocol mediation and business infrastructure software for global Communications Service Providers, has opened its first US office in San Francisco, California as part of its global expansion programme.
"There's simply no denying the sheer concentration of opportunity for Openet in the United States," said Stuart Kelly, VP of Sales & Marketing for Openet Telecom. A recent report by Insight Marketing on behalf of Openet Telecom estimates that the total market for mediation and business infrastructure in the telco space will surpass $3bn by 2004. Almost half of this will come out of the domestic U.S. market place.
Kelly added, "Part of Openet's core strategy is to aggressively build out its sales and marketing presence in the U.S. We have already consummated several deals with pan-European carriers that are American owned and are in the final stages of announcing several partnerships with organizations that will support us in our efforts there."
