Openet launches Intelligent Video Management Solution

Transactional intelligence system provider Openet has launched its Intelligent Video Management Solution, which incorporates video management into holistic network policy. The service differentiates between sources of video content, including content from OTT providers, assesses delivery optimisation based on subscriber plans and network needs, and enables operators to create partner business models with content providers. Openet's Intelligent Video Management Solution enables policy management across the entire network, including individual nodes designed to optimise video traffic. The Intelligent Video Management Solution can set longer or shorter buffers for high priority video services. The service can immediately detect device type and capacities, such as whether a phone can deliver HD content. This enables operators to use policy to deliver the content relative to both the user and to the network.
