IBM and Openet Announce a Partnership to Offer Uncommon Solutions to the Telecom Market

SAO PAULO, Brazil – October 27, 2008 – IBM and Openet, the leading provider of Transactional Intelligence for the world’s largest and most innovative service providers, have established a partnership to offer solutions to the Brazilian market of mobile and wireline telecom. The objective of this partnership is to enable IBM telecom customers to leverage Openet’s Transactional Intelligence. The announcement will take place at the Futurecom, an event in São Paulo (October 27 - 30).
The new solutions include mediation, charging and policy management for mobile and wireline networks. These products allow creation of customized billing policies and enable real-time control over customer accounts, making it possible to gain faster and safer access to client information and leverage it for increased revenue. Service providers can also develop specific programs for corporate access and parental controls.
