Los Angeles Calif., The Cable Show – May 11, 2010 – Openet, the leading provider of Transactional Intelligence for the world’s largest and most innovative network service providers and cable operators, has been named a finalist for the National Cable & Telecommunications Association’s (NCTA) CIO.IT Competition at this year’s Cable Show.
CIO.IT, in its fifth year, is a program presenting real solutions to any of the cable industry’s major IT challenges or issues. Openet will be participating in the panel-based competition format, debuting for the first time in 2010. Select cable IT vendors and partners have the opportunity to present their targeted, non-product-specific solution to industry IT issues in a competitive format during the two-day program. The panel on which Openet is participating will take place Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Openet was chosen due to its industry-leading expertise in subscriber data management and audience measurement systems, and how they represent the next-generational step in broadband BSS/OSS systems. Together, these two systems enable operators to monitor subscriber service usage better than ever before in order to tailor and improve the customer experience and ensure profitability, while still completely masking personally identifiable information.
The event’s board of reactors, or judging panel, will consist of cable industry CIOs, who will pose questions to the presenters, provide feedback and choose their favorite presentations. Michael Manzo, CMO, will give Openet’s presentation.
