Openet Telecom to Create 200 Jobs in Global Expansion

DUBLIN; 17th March, 2001 - Irish owned software company, Openet Telecom is to create 200 jobs in Ireland, Europe and the United States by the end of 2001 as part of a major global expansion. Openet Telecom, founded just 18 months ago, has already more than doubled its employment in 2000 to 80 people. This new expansion follows recent major contract wins in Europe and the USA.
Openet Telecom sells into existing and emerging telecommunications companies on contracts valued from £100,000 to multi-million dollar deals. The company currently operates offices in Ireland, UK, Germany, France, Sweden and the US.
Openet Telecom is exploiting a global niche for a solution which allows Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to identify and bill customers according to type of usage rather than solely time and distance.
