Dublin, Ireland and Cannes, France, Wednesday, 29th November 2000 - eMerging Information Systems (eMIS) and Openet Telecom, two leaders in the global telecommunications billing industry, today announced a strategic technology alliance that will offer a bundle of cutting edge billing solutions which enable telecommunications service providers to rapidly introduce new products and price changes in the ever-changing competitive landscape. Details were announced at 'Global Billing 2000' in Cannes today. Under terms of the partnership, the two companies have established software compatibility between eMIS' Libertis™, a leading Java-based billing and customer care solution, and Openet Telecom's FusionWorks™, an open standards-based distributed mediation platform. The end result is a comprehensive offering that effectively manages systems relating to customer care, tariff management, mediation, network services, rating, inventory management, dealer management and commissioning, and point of sale.
